The dance stage is one of Jeffrey's favorite environments for working with light.  In many cases, the stage is inhabited only by the dancers, the choreography, music, and lighting.  Lighting sets the scene, helping to convey mood and movement, enhancing the visibility of gesture and subtlety. 

After a substantial break from designing for dance, Jeffrey is thrilled to be designing productions for his hometown company: Charlottesville Ballet.

Previously, he designed lighting for the Greensboro Ballet, and various modern dance and dance theatre companies.
